RYTHMAGICA
Arcade-size taiko, refined for home and serious play
TDC17 brings the full arcade-scale taiko experience into a form that works at home.
It’s designed for players who want the feel, spacing, and response of a real arcade drum —
without turning their room into a noisy, fragile setup.
Arcade dimensions · Tuned sensors · Multi-platform support
Compatible with Switch, PC, Xbox, PS4, Wii / Wii U
Arcade-size feel, built for home use
TDC17 is designed around a 43 cm drumhead — the same size used on arcade cabinets.
This allows for more natural spacing, clearer hit intent, and a playing posture that closely matches arcade conditions.
The natural rubber drum surface provides controlled rebound and consistent feedback,
making it suitable for extended practice sessions without excessive noise or fatigue.
Why this exists
Not every player is looking for a compact controller.
Some want the spacing, rebound, and physical presence of a real arcade taiko —
and they’re willing to make room for it.
Arcade taiko isn’t just bigger — it feels different.
The spacing between hits, the rebound of the drumhead,
and the way your body moves around the drum all affect timing and accuracy.
TDC17 keeps those proportions intact, instead of compressing them into a smaller form.
TDC17 is made for players who care about consistency over long sessions.
The sensor layout and firmware are tuned to reduce false triggers,
maintain stable response, and handle fast rolls without collapsing into noise.
This isn’t a novelty drum — it’s a practice instrument.
TDC10 focuses on compactness, low noise, and flexibility.
TDC17 exists for a different reason:
to deliver a full-size taiko experience for players who want physical realism
and are ready to dedicate space to it.
Both are valid. They serve different kinds of players.
Like TDC10, TDC17 evolved through testing, firmware updates,
and feedback from real players.
Sensor behavior, trigger balance, and edge response
were adjusted repeatedly to reach a stable, predictable feel —
not just impressive specs on paper.
Sensor layout, rebound feel, and sensitivity tuning
are the result of continuous feedback from experienced players.
Use TDC Mate to adjust sensitivity and behavior so it matches your bachi weight, grip, and play intensity.
Set it like an arcade
TDC17 is about physical confidence.
The kind you only notice when it’s missing.
Allows quick setup on desks or low tables without additional accessories.
Supports VESA 75×75 and standard 1/4-inch tripod mounts for flexible height and tilt adjustment.
When mounted on a tripod, TDC17 can be positioned closer to standing arcade height,
helping maintain a familiar playing posture.
You spend less time correcting hits
and more time focusing on rhythm and flow.
The moment you start playing, the size feels right.
Not impressive — just correct.
Once you get used to full scale,
going back to smaller drums feels like a compromise.

Playing on Wii or Wii U?
If you plan to use your taiko drum with Wii or Wii U, you will need the RMWii Adapter.
Wii systems use a different controller protocol, and this adapter provides a stable, official compatibility solution.
This adapter is only required for Wii / Wii U. It is not needed for Switch, PC, PlayStation, or Xbox.
Choosing between TDC10 and TDC17
TDC17 is designed for players who want the closest possible home approximation of an arcade drum,
with full-size dimensions and flexible mounting options.
TDC10 is better suited for compact setups, quieter environments, and users who prioritize portability.
Both share the same software ecosystem and design philosophy — the difference lies in size,
mounting flexibility, and playing posture.
Known limits
Known limits
Is calibration required?
Initial in-game latency or sensitivity adjustment may be required,
similar to other rhythm game controllers.
Is it suitable for apartments?
The rubber surface is quieter than hard plastic drums,
but due to its size and impact force, sound transmission depends on flooring and mounting.

Recommended setup for TDC17
TDC17 is designed for arcade-style play.
To fully experience its size, rebound, and posture,
we strongly recommend using the official tripod. More details
The tripod places TDC17 at a height suitable for standing play,
closer to real arcade machines.
Wide stance and low center of gravity help keep the drum stable
during fast rolls and strong strikes.
This tripod was developed alongside TDC17,
not adapted from generic photography or instrument stands.
Proper height and angle reduce wrist and shoulder strain
during extended play sessions.
Complete your arcade setup
TDC17 can be played without a tripod,
but most players choose it for stability and correct height.
