Ecodisplay was our first step toward giving older iPads a meaningful second life. It transformed compatible iPads into external displays and proved that beautifully engineered devices could continue creating value long after Apple had stopped supporting them.

The project was successfully delivered, and many Ecodisplay units are still in use today. More importantly, it connected us with a community of people who shared the same belief: great design deserves a longer life.

After Ecodisplay production ended, we continued receiving messages from people asking if it would ever return.

Rebuilding the same product would have been the easiest path. But we believed those users deserved more than another production run.

So instead of bringing Ecodisplay back, we chose to rethink everything—from compatibility and installation to the overall user experience.

The result is TDA: not simply the next version of Ecodisplay, but a new generation built upon everything we learned.
